*Forging is a manufacturing process involving the shaping of metal using localized compressive forces.
Forged aluminum parts are stronger than a part machined by a solid block of the same material. The reason for this is that a forged part has been strain hardened through repeated impact force. Forging allows for preferential grain direction to occur as well as a refined grain boundary which leads to precipitation hardening.
Because of the small dimensions of the mirror glass, this product must only be fitted for racing or show purposes.

How to install Axe series mirrors on Harley

  1. Remove the old mirror and nut.
  2. Retain the original internal tooth lock-washer.
  3. Install new mirror stem through hand control assembly.
  4. Install flat washer on top and bottom of hand control assembly to stabilize mirror stem.
  5. Tighten to 8-12 ftlbs (10.8-16.3 Nm). Do not over-tighten. Check mirror adjustment and reposition if necessary.
Be sure wire existing mirror stem is positioned in wire guard so it does not get crushed by hardware.
